The “Melaka Bila Larut Malam” (Melaka Nightlife) August edition, held last night, received a warm response from tourists and visitors, coinciding with Visit Melaka Year 2024 (TMM2024).
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh posted on his Facebook page that this event attracted 10,125 visitors, who enjoyed discounted tickets to popular tourist spots.
Highlights included 1,907 tickets sold for the Melaka River Cruise, 891 for Zoo Melaka, and 695 for Panggung Bangsawan, among others.
Dataran Stadthuys also buzzed with activity, drawing 4,395 tourists.
A new nightlife initiative in Melaka
The state government has launched the “Melaka Bila Larut Malam” activities as part of Visit Melaka Year 2024 (TMM2024).
Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh introduced this special programme, which includes attractions like Menara Taming Sari, Melaka River Cruise, Zoo Melaka, and various museums under the Melaka Museum Corporation (PERZIM).
Visitors can participate in these activities for just RM10 per person. This offer is available on the 1st of every month, with events running from 11 pm to 3 am.
Melaka Bila Larut Malam not only offers a unique experience but also supports the local economy by drawing visitors to various attractions.
The event is a great opportunity for families and tourists to explore Melaka’s rich cultural heritage and vibrant nightlife.
Upcoming attractions and special offers
Returning this Saturday, 3rd August 2024, the Melaka Bila Larut Malam programme promises more excitement.
Tourists and locals are encouraged to take advantage of special price offers at various prominent locations.
Attractions include the Melaka River Cruise, Menara Taming Sari, Zoo Melaka, and four museums (History Complex, Maritime Museum Complex, People’s Museum, and Melaka Sultanate Museum).
Additional venues such as the Malaysia Heritage Studios and Melaka Ghost Museum are also part of the programme, offering entry for as low as RM10 on a first-come, first-served basis from 11 pm.
Other participating locations include Panggung Bangsawan, Prison Museum, Melaka Floating Market, Uptown Pahlawan Walk, Jonker Walk, 1-Altitude, Mahkota Parade, Ancient Galaxy Esport Hub, Car Free Zone @ Alor Gajah, Heart & Lova Cafe, Stadthuys Cafe, and Waronk.
“This Melaka Nightlife package also includes the purchase of special TMM2024 souvenirs starting at RM10, bringing the total cost to just RM20,” said Chief Minister Datuk Seri Ab Rauf Yusoh.
“Participants will also have the chance to enter a lucky draw and win special prizes, including a car.”
The introduction of this new package follows the success of the state government’s initiative on 20th February, which offered free entry to 11 tourist locations in the state.
