Foodpanda Malaysia has launched a new campaign, “Jejak Panda,” offering residents of Pantai Dalam accessible earning opportunities as delivery partners.
This initiative, unveiled at IWK Eco Park on 13 August 2024, highlights Foodpanda’s commitment to supporting local communities by providing flexible, immediate income options.
Jejak Panda: Empowering Pantai Dalam
The “Jejak Panda” campaign was inaugurated by Fahmi Fadzil, Member of Parliament for Lembah Pantai and Minister of Communications, alongside Shubham Saran, Director of Operations at Foodpanda Malaysia.
The event aimed to empower Pantai Dalam residents by offering an exclusive opportunity to join Foodpanda as delivery partners.
Over 150 locals attended, where they could sign up, receive instant ID verification, and undergo on-the-spot training.
Additionally, new delivery partners received a complimentary rider kit worth up to RM150, allowing them to start work immediately—eliminating the usual 2-3 day waiting period.
“We recognise the important role we play in supporting our communities and offering accessible earning opportunities,” said Shubham Saran.
“With the support of our partners, we can reach more people and make a greater impact across Malaysia.”
Foodpanda’s broader commitment: Welfare and growth
Beyond providing immediate earning opportunities, Foodpanda’s “Jejak Panda” also introduced attendees to the benefits of the “panda hearts” programme.
This initiative offers welfare and engagement support, including insurance schemes for delivery partners and their families, as well as upskilling programmes designed to help them achieve their life goals.
The event also featured free health and eye checkups, underscoring Foodpanda’s holistic approach to community support.
“Our support for communities goes beyond just offering earning opportunities,” Saran added.
“As a Foodpanda delivery partner, they will benefit from the welfare and engagement initiatives under ‘panda hearts,’ helping them get closer to their life goals and aspirations.”
Foodpanda’s “Jejak Panda” campaign is a testament to its ongoing efforts to uplift local communities like Pantai Dalam.
By offering flexible, accessible earning opportunities and comprehensive welfare support, Foodpanda is helping residents take control of their financial futures.
