Beauty With A Purpose Tour was led by Julia Morley CBE, CEO and Chairman of the Miss World Organisation, and Dr Sean Wong, CEO of HyperLive Entertainment.

This initiative was joined by Miss World 2024, Krystyna Pyszkova from the Czech Republic, and Miss World Malaysia 2023, Saroop Roshi.

The Miss World Beauty With A Purpose Tour was not just a celebration of beauty; it was a movement aimed at making a real difference.

Over five days in July, the team engaged in various activities designed to support the local community and highlight Sabah’s unique attractions to a global audience.

One of the tour’s key events was the Sail Malaysia Tuaran Beach Cleaning, where Morley, Pyszkova, and local dignitaries, including Datuk Joniston Bangkuai, Assistant Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Environment Sabah, joined forces with volunteers to collect 402 kilograms of rubbish.

This effort, supported by the Tuaran Rally of Sail Malaysia and local businesses, underscored the Miss World team’s commitment to environmental conservation and preserving Sabah’s pristine coastline.

Another significant aspect of the tour was the disaster relief initiative in Kg. Pogunon. The Miss World team, alongside the 2024 Unduk Ngadau Kaamatan (UNK) winners, provided vital disaster relief packages and assisted with home clean-up efforts for flood-affected families.

Supported by Discover Sabah Digital, Media Works Solutions, and other local businesses, this initiative highlighted the power of community collaboration in times of need.

Additionally, the Miss World Malaysia Organisation pledged to raise RM 30,000 to support these families.

Commitment to health and environmental stewardship

The Miss World team also demonstrated their commitment to healthcare by visiting the Sabah Autism Society and the Palliative Care Association. Morley’s generous donations of US$10,000 and US$20,000 respectively, provided much-needed support to these organisations.

At Hospital Wanita dan Kanak-kanak Likas, the team brought joy to 45 children suffering from cancer and thalassemia, delivering gifts and celebrating their birthdays.

They also pledged RM 10,000 annually for the next three years to support the hospital’s oncology department.

A high tea session at the Sabah State Palace, hosted by the Consort of The Head Of State Of Sabah, welcomed 10 of these children, marking a heartfelt conclusion to the tour’s health-focused initiatives.

During the session, the Miss World team presented a RM 50,000 donation cheque to Yayasan Nur Jauhar, further emphasising their dedication to supporting disadvantaged families.
