Melisha Lin has been crowned Miss Grand Malaysia 2024, a title that reflects her multi-talented persona and commitment to making a positive impact.

The 25-year-old emcee, TV host, and mental health advocate captivated the audience at the event held in Kuala Lumpur’s Galaxy Banquet Hall.

Co-organised by HyperLive Entertainment and SunStrong Entertainment, the competition highlighted Malaysia’s vibrant pageantry scene.

Melisha Lin, a Chinese-Indian Malaysian fluent in four languages, stood out with her confident stage presence and compelling public speaking abilities.

A graduate in Marketing Management from the University of Greenwich, Melisha’s journey to the crown was marked by previous success, having been named Miss Supranational Malaysia in 2021 and securing a top 24 spot at the Miss Supranational 2022 Finals in Poland.

Beyond her pageantry achievements, Melisha is deeply passionate about mental health advocacy.

She is the founder of You Are Not Alone (YANA), an initiative that works to break down the stigma surrounding mental illness, with a specific focus on youth mental health.

During the pandemic, YANA reached over 50,000 individuals, and its impact continues to grow, earning the Rotaract Most Outstanding Project award.

A grand victory with an international platform

As Miss Grand Malaysia 2024, Melisha Lin received a grand prize package worth RM12,000, including a diamond ring valued at RM20,000 and a return flight to the international finals.

Additionally, her prize included spa services, a gym membership, and an array of beauty and health products.

As she prepares to compete at the Miss Grand International Finals, Melisha is poised to bring her advocacy and talents to a global audience.

“We believe in Melisha’s ability to represent Malaysia on the international stage and continue her work to empower young women,” said Dr. Sean Wong, National Director of Miss Grand Malaysia and CEO of HyperLive Entertainment.

The event saw Geetha William and Lilyannie crowned as the 1st and 2nd Runners-Up, respectively, while Linasni, Kiki Khor, and Tito claimed the 3rd to 5th Runner-Up positions.

Miss Grand Malaysia continues to grow in prestige, with notable attendees such as Teresa Chaivisut, COO of Miss Grand International Public Company Limited, and reigning Miss Grand International 2023, Luciana Fuster, lending their support.
