Foundever, a global leader in the customer experience (CX) industry, has officially launched its first multilingual hub in Southeast Asia, located in Kuala Lumpur. This new hub signifies a major milestone in Foundever’s expansion, creating economic opportunities and supporting job growth in Malaysia. The facility will offer customer experience solutions in multiple languages, making it a strategic asset for the company’s operations across the region.
Operating under a hybrid model that blends remote work with access to co-working spaces, Foundever is paving the way for flexible working conditions while ensuring a physical presence in Malaysia. The establishment of a dedicated office in Kuala Lumpur is expected early next year. Currently, the company plans to hire 100 new employees by the end of 2024, with an ambitious goal of increasing the workforce to 500 by 2025.
This move aligns with Malaysia’s growing digital economy, which contributes 22.6% to the country’s GDP, projected to rise to 25.5% by 2025. The increasing demand for skilled multilingual professionals in Malaysia is driven by the rise in e-commerce and digital adoption, sectors Foundever aims to support through its multilingual capabilities.
Boosting Malaysia’s technological landscape
With support for a variety of languages, including English, Bahasa Malaysia, Mandarin, Tamil, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Thai, the Kuala Lumpur hub will enhance Foundever’s service delivery across Southeast Asia. The launch of the hub underscores Malaysia’s potential as a center for technological innovation and digital entrepreneurship, as highlighted by Datuk Muhammad Azmi Zulkifli, CEO of InvestKL.
“This one-of-a-kind hub will add vibrancy to our digital and tech landscape while driving high-value job creation, collaborations, and knowledge transfer,” said Azmi. The decision to establish the hub in Malaysia reflects the country’s ability to attract future-forward companies, making Kuala Lumpur an ideal location for expansion in Southeast Asia.
Commitment to innovation and employee development
To further strengthen its operations in Malaysia, Foundever will invest in extensive training and development programs to equip employees with cutting-edge skills in CX and digital technologies. The hub will also feature advanced AI-driven technologies to ensure faster, more accurate responses to client needs. This investment is poised to solidify Malaysia’s reputation as a regional hub for talent and innovation.
Eden Gutierrez, Vice President of Operations for Asia Pacific and Country Leader for China and Malaysia, expressed excitement about the launch, stating, “By tapping into Malaysia’s technological advancements and rich cultural heritage, we are confident that our Malaysian operations will significantly elevate our global service delivery.”
As Foundever continues to expand in Malaysia, its commitment to innovation and excellence in customer experience will leave a lasting impact on the region’s digital landscape.
