“At APU, we believe in creating impactful experiences that go beyond academics.

In addition to its focus on mental well-being, APU Smile Fest places significant emphasis on animal welfare.

Tengku Permaisuri Selangor, Royal Patron of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA) Selangor, witnessed a mock cheque presentation of RM30,000 to support SPCA’s ongoing initiatives.

APU students have been dedicated volunteers at SPCA Selangor since 2016, contributing over 700 volunteers and raising RM50,000 in funds and animal food.

Christine Chin, Chairman of SPCA Selangor, acknowledged APU’s long-standing commitment, stating, “The support from APU’s students has made a significant impact on our shelter’s ability to care for stray animals and promote awareness in the community.”

Closing the ceremony, Datuk Parmjit Singh expressed gratitude to DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor for her support.

“The entire APU community is immensely grateful to DYMM Tengku Permaisuri Selangor for gracing the launch of this meaningful programme. Her passion for championing such important initiatives is an inspiration to all of us,” he said.

As APU Smile Fest continues to grow, it serves as a testament to the university’s dedication to both student development and social responsibility.
