Malaysia Midnight Sale set to thrill shoppers this Deepavali

The Malaysia Midnight Sale is set to offer a thrilling shopping experience this Deepavali season, extending hours until midnight with exclusive deals in Johor Bahru.

Running from October 30 to November 2, this event aims to attract shoppers from across the Causeway with a combination of entertainment, late-night shopping, and unique promotions.

Tourism Malaysia Singapore’s deputy director, Mohana Murni Shanmugam, shared that the first instalment of the Malaysia Midnight Sale will take place at Paradigm Mall Johor Bahru on October 30 and 31, followed by another round at Mercato Garden Square, Setia Eco Gardens, from November 1 to 2.

With the Malaysia Midnight Sale being its first edition, the event promises to bring a new wave of excitement to the local shopping scene.

Exclusive deals and shuttle services

The Malaysia Midnight Sale is more than just an extended shopping spree; it offers a range of exclusive deals, ensuring shoppers get the best value for their money.

To make the experience even more convenient, Tourism Malaysia, in partnership with Singapore’s Express & Excursion Bus Association (EEBA), will provide complimentary shuttle services.

This free transport, available on a first-come, first-served basis, will be offered to those who book their trip through WTS Travel during the 36th Travel Malaysia Fair 2024.

Alternatively, shoppers can reserve seats at WTS Travel outlets or online via their hotline and website.

The initiative reflects a collaborative effort between Tourism Malaysia and EEBA, aiming to enhance cross-border shopping experiences while promoting Malaysia as a prime destination for retail tourism.

Boosting tourism and local economy in Malaysia

Tourism Malaysia’s director general, Datuk Manoharan Periasamy, expressed excitement about the Malaysia Midnight Sale, emphasising the potential economic boost it provides.

“We are thrilled to partner with EEBA to bring this unique shopping experience to Singaporeans. It’s not just about shopping; it’s about promoting local businesses and showcasing Malaysia as a top shopping destination,” he said.

In addition to the Midnight Sale, the 36th Travel Malaysia Fair 2024 offers visitors an array of tourism products and services at the Tourism Malaysia booth.

Participants can explore exciting packages from renowned travel brands like Junglewalla Desaru, Hospitality 360, Juara Scuba Academy, and KPJ Healthcare Bhd.

The fair itself, organised by EEBA, runs from October 11 to 13 at Singapore’s Sands Expo and Convention Centre, featuring over 20 travel and tour companies.

With the Malaysia Midnight Sale debuting just in time for the Deepavali season, shoppers can expect a lively atmosphere, extended hours, and deals that cater to all budgets.
