Tokyo also captured the interest of Malaysian travellers, surpassing Bali to secure the third spot with a 78% surge in searches.

Across Asia, Japanese cities remain favourites, with Tokyo ranking as the top destination, followed by Bangkok, Osaka, Fukuoka, and Seoul.

Meanwhile, international interest in Malaysia saw a remarkable 41% increase, with Singapore, China, and Indonesia leading the pack.
Notably, searches from China soared by 103%, while Indonesia recorded an 81% uptick.
