Tune Protect Group Berhad (“Tune Protect”) closed 2024 with a remarkable series of Corporate Good (CG) initiatives, surpassing its initial commitment of 6,000 volunteer hours by achieving 7,299 hours from 2022 to 2024.

This milestone underscores the Group’s unwavering dedication to community empowerment, sustainability, and social impact.

“In 2024, we shifted our focus from achieving numbers to delivering purposeful actions that create lasting benefits,” said Koot Chiew Ling, Tune Protect’s Chief Strategy Officer and Chairperson of the Sustainability Committee.

“Our employees’ commitment to this cause is a testament to our mission to integrate ESG principles into our operations and make a tangible difference.”

Innovative partnerships and meaningful impact

A cornerstone of Tune Protect’s 2024 initiatives was its partnership with Sekolah Kebangsaan (SK) Kampung Baru Si Rusa in Negeri Sembilan.

This collaboration aimed to enhance digital literacy and sports facilities for students.

The efforts included upgrading the school’s digital resource centre, improving sports facilities, and hosting cybersecurity workshops for over 350 students.

The initiative concluded with the Kids Athletic Carnival, bringing together students from seven schools in the Port Dickson district. The event celebrated teamwork, growth, and community spirit.

Further extending its reach, Tune Protect organised a football clinic in conjunction with The Battle of the Reds, featuring legendary players from Manchester United and Liverpool.

Held at the Bukit Jalil National Stadium, the clinic engaged 40 children from SK Cochrane, offering them a memorable experience of learning football skills and enjoying a thrilling match.

Festive cheer and environmental conservation

During Ramadan, Tune Protect rolled out the Iftar initiative, distributing 2,000 food packages to essential workers, including police officers, firefighters, and hospital staff.

This effort supported uniformed personnel and food delivery riders, ensuring they felt appreciated during the holy month.

In partnership with a media house, Tune Protect also brought Hari Raya cheer to children at Hospital Tunku Ampuan Besar Tuanku Aishah Rohani in Cheras, Kuala Lumpur.

Volunteers hosted games, decorated wards, and distributed gifts, spreading joy to over 60 young patients and their families.

On the environmental front, Tune Protect made strides in conservation by participating in a tree-planting initiative on World Sustainability Day.

Alongside 104 volunteers, the Group planted 600 Tenggek Burung trees in Selangor’s Kuala Langat North Forest Reserve, contributing to biodiversity and climate change mitigation.

With its sustainability vision, “In Tune for a Better Tomorrow,” Tune Protect remains committed to advancing social and environmental causes.

For the next three years (2025–2027), the Group has pledged 6,000 volunteer hours to focus on environmental conservation and community upliftment.

“Our goal is to create a lasting legacy for future generations,” added Koot. “Through these initiatives, we aim to inspire meaningful change and build a more resilient and sustainable future.”
