Malaysia Airports is celebrating Hari Raya in a way never seen before, blending nostalgia with a bold, comic-inspired twist. Running until 30 April 2025, the Riang Riuh Raya campaign transforms Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) into a living, hand-drawn comic strip, inspired by the 80s and 90s era when local comics were a beloved part of Malaysian culture.

Designed by Jepah Studio, the immersive experience features a larger-than-life kampung scene, incorporating bold black outlines and exaggerated details reminiscent of classic comic art. Travellers will step into a world where tradition meets fun, evoking the joy of balik kampung celebrations through a visually striking and interactive environment.

At the heart of the celebration is Pentas Rentak Riuh, a vibrant hub featuring interactive workshops, traditional craft-making sessions, cultural showcases, and spirited musical performances. The aim is to bring travellers closer to Malaysia’s rich heritage, ensuring they experience the warmth and joy of Hari Raya even before reaching their destination.

Adding to the excitement, limited-time shopping promotions reward travellers with exclusive Raya-themed merchandise, making their airport experience even more special.

• Exclusive Raya Packets (until 18 April) – Shoppers who spend a minimum of RM200 in a single receipt at participating outlets in KLIA Terminal 1, KLIA Terminal 2, Penang International Airport, Langkawi International Airport, Kuching International Airport, and Kota Kinabalu International Airport will receive an exclusive set of Raya packets.
• Handcrafted Raya Gift (until 18 April) – Travellers who spend RM500 in a single receipt at participating outlets in KLIA Terminal 1 and Terminal 2 will receive a limited-edition zipper coin pouch, meticulously crafted by local women artisans.
