Paramount Cup 2026 expands pickleball reach with community impact

Paramount Property is set to stage the second edition of the Paramount Cup from October 22 to 25, 2026, bringing together more than 900 participants at PLAYA Racquet Club @ PARC Subang.

The tournament will feature one of Malaysia’s largest pickleball prize pools, exceeding RM110,000, while expanding its focus to youth development and community engagement.

Eight junior categories added to tournament line-up

Paramount Cup 2026 will introduce eight junior categories, covering U10, U12, U14 and U16 competitions across singles and doubles formats.

The expanded programme reflects Paramount Property’s efforts to make pickleball more accessible to younger players and provide opportunities for emerging talent to develop their skills.

The tournament will also include singles, doubles, mixed doubles and team formats across different age groups and skill levels, catering to both newcomers and experienced competitors.

Charity initiative and international pathway strengthen event

For every participant registered, PLAYA will donate RM5 from each registration fee to the Shelter Home for Children, with Paramount Property matching the contribution ringgit for ringgit.

The event will also feature a three-day bazaar offering food, activities and family-oriented entertainment alongside the competitions.

A major development this year is the tournament’s recognition as an Association of Pickleball Professionals (APP) Asia qualifying stop, giving strong-performing Malaysian players a potential pathway towards international competition.

“This is a huge moment for Malaysian pickleball,” said Brian Choo, Director of PLAYA Racquet Club.

PLAYA, which returns as Venue Partner after hosting the inaugural edition in 2025, will host the tournament across its indoor and outdoor facilities.

Registration opened on August 15, with early-bird pricing offering 15% off standard entry fees until September 5. Adult entry fees start from RM360 per team, while junior singles and doubles cost RM150 and RM300 respectively.
