Penang World Music Festival observes Earth Hour

PENANG – At 8.30pm, all lights were switched off for 1 hour (except for the stage light), and the audience lit candles in support of Earth hour

The Penang World Music Festival 2012, organized by the Penang State Tourism Development and Culture Office, supported by KDU, Virtual Malaysia and Hard Rock Hotel, ended on a successful note.

The music festival, held at the Botanical Quarry Garden, featured world renowned musicians from Malaysia as well as from 15 other countries. The audience comprising young and old, from all races and strata of societies, were treated to a mesmerising music performances from the world class musicians.

The festival, scheduled for 3 consecutive days, from 30th March to 1st April, was not only a sounding success, but was a candle light affair as March 31st, was Earth Hour day.
