Batu Caves cannot cope with Thaipusam crowd

KTM commuters’ passengers were not allowed to enter the temple compound as officers had blocked the direct access to the prayer area. Several parents been separated from their children. The rental rates for booths there had become exorbitant. Due to a lack of shaded areas, some devotees were seen resting amidst an obscene amount of rubbish. The Batu caves commuter station was congested and many were loss as to how they should get to the train. The commuters’ passengers were forced to clog into the station via the temple and wait in long queues to enter the platform through a small emergency exit gate.
