The memorandum of protest to the IGP on the 30 October 2010 was to demand to know the whereabout of Selvach Santhiran. The people want his immediate release and whatever crime he had committed should be charged in open court.

Despite a wet Saturday morning, the turn out from the various political parties, NGOs, Members of Parliament and concerned citizens were a unique sight.
