The Straits Collection is a row of five old, heritage buildings located at Steward Lane which used to be an old, neglected backlane of the Guan Yin Temple. It is managed by Bon Ton.
Now, the place has been spruced up and turned into a boutique hotel with a cafe and reading room. What is captivating is how the original building which has two huge stoves used for roastingcoffee beans remained almost untouched. The original paintworks, windows and doors have been been restored.
