Prangtip: Reporting in war zones

Prangtip, a Thai freelance journalist and columnist spoke about news reporting in war or conflict zones. She stressed on the need to understand the nature of the conflict, verification of facts and sensitivity not to promote hatred.

She was speaking at the Building Peace Across Communities Forum which was held at the Annexe Building, Central Market, Kuala Lumpur on the 8th May 2010.

Other speakers included Jacqueline Ann Surin (co founder and editor of The Nut Graph), Mustafa K Anuar (Lecturer) and Insany Syahbarwaty (Head of Maluku Media centre)
