The 58.4 meters (190 ft) long skybridge which connects both towers of the world’s tallest twin structure, the Petronas Twin Towers on the 41st and 42nd floors will be turned into a fashion runway at the J Spring Fashion Show this 19th March 2012.

Limkokwing University will be participating in the show alongside the best in the world at the first-ever international fashion show at the skybridge at 175 metres above street level.

The show which is organized by J Model Management, UK’s No.1 high profile fashion show organizer, is being widely touted as the world’s highest fashion show.

“We are so excited and are proud that we can be part of the creative industry in such a ground breaking way,” said Dato’ Tiffanee Marie Lim, associate vice president for talent development of Limkokwing at the announce press-conference.

“For the first time ever that a show of any kind is to be held at the Petronas Twin Towers Skybridge and we are proud of our students they have built a reputation for being trendsetters, for being bold and being innovated with their work and it’s about time that we do a show on this scale.

The collections that the Year Three Diploma graduate students produced will be showcased on the evening together with 10 other international brands by renowned fashion designers from all over the world.

“It gives us a huge sense of national pride to be representing Malaysia and claiming our presence in the fashion industry,” added Tiffanee.

The international models are expected to fly in two days before the show and the international designers on the day itself.

Seats will be limited as guests will be seated on both sides of the 5-metre wide Skybridge, with the models taking the catwalk in between.

“This is the very first time we have a university participating in our show which will featured 10 brands from 10 different countries. We have British fashion leader Paul Costelloe, Dutch celebrity designer Addy van den Krommenacker who had done all the clothes for red carpet events like the Oscar and we also have designers from Portugal, Spain, Australia, Taiwan and all over the world and they always participate in fashion week around the world so this is a very good opportunity for Limkokwing to show the world that they have up their game.”

The highlight of the fashion show will be a dress made of cake which will be worn by Jessica Minh Anh herself. The extraordinary creation was designed by a Limkokwing fashion design student who won the international competition to find the perfect design for the Monday’s show.
