Catholic High School Petaling Jaya shines in PMR

For PMR 2011, 163 students obtained 8A’s, 148 students obtained 7A’s and 69 students obtained 6A’s

The Catholic High School Petaling Jaya (CHSPJ) recently held its PTA (PIBG) Annual General Meeting which saw the election of Tommy Kok as their new chairman, taking over the leadership from outgoing chairman, Lim Hong Guan.

During the AGM, students who excelled in the PMR 2011 took to the stage to receive their awards.

For PMR 2011, 163 students obtained 8A’s, 148 students obtained 7A’s and 69 students obtained 6A’s.

CHPJ was established in the year 1956 by Rev. Bro. Philippe Wu under the Marist brothers and recognised as a Cluster School of Excellence by the Malaysian Ministry of Education.

It has approximately over 3400 students,151 teachers and 17 support staff.

The school has an area of 8.4 acres (34,000 m2) with five blocks of classrooms, two blocks of science laboratories, a school hall, a sports complex and a school field.

There are 14 Uniform Bodies, 36 societies, five Sports Houses and 14 Sports and Games Clubs and also a prefectorial board in CHSPJ
