Johor Bahru: 99 dragons to dance into Malaysian Book of Records

For the first time in Malaysian history, ninety-nine dragons will parade and perform simultaneously at a single location come this February 12 in Danga Bay Convention Centre in conjunction with Danga Bay Sdn. Bhd. 12th anniversary celebration.

The Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar and Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak will grace and officiate the historic event respectively, said Danga Bay project director, Gary Lee Seaton at a press conference in Grand Bay View Restaurant, Teluk Danga, here, recently.

“This is the first time that we are organising a dragon dance performance at such a grand scale and the event is expected to set a record in the Malaysia Book of Records (MBOR)” said Gary.

This historic event is organised by Iskandar Waterfront Holdings Sdn. Bhd. in co-operations with the Johor Wushu Dragon and Lion  Dance Association
