The atmosphere at a waterfalls near Jalan Utama in Penang had been transformed from a recreational hangout into a devotional place buzzing with activities as thousands of devotees make their way to the hilltop to fulfill vows.

The atmosphere at a waterfalls near Jalan Utama in Penang had been transformed from a recreational hangout into a devotional place buzzing with hive of activities as thousands of devotees of different ethnic background converging at the hilltop waterfall’s Arulmigu Balathandayuthapan Temple early in the morning to offer prayers to Lord Muruga.

When Komunitikini reached the scene, the road leading to Waterfall was packed with cars and devotees making beeline to the temple.

Also spotted in the scene were tourist Glarion from Canada who had been mesmerized by the festival.

“Its awesome, the dance, piercing and the faith of the devotees have towards this celebration”, said Glarion.

The Thaipusam festival here attracted peoples from different backgrounds to join in this celebration which is deemed an auspicious celebration amongst Indians in Malaysia.
