The question arose three months ago when the National Registration Department (NRD) issued a circular on inheritance of the titles but did not say anything on female descendants of Perak royal family.

“The two documents are important as only then NRD can process the applications. If not, their children can’t use titles inherited from female descendants,” he said after representatives of the clans met NRD yesterday.
