The national-level Christmas open house this year will be held at Kajang High School, Selangor on Dec 26.
Deputy Information, Communications and Culture Minister Senator Maglin Dennis D’Cruz said some 15,000 guests were expected to attend the event which would be held from 2.30pm to 6.30pm.
“Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim are scheduled to open the open house,” he told reporters after attending a children’s cultural event organised by the Seremban Forest Heights Christian Association, yesterday.
He said Kajang was chosen for the open house because of its strategic location as people from Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Negeri Sembilan and Melaka have easy access to it.
Meanwhile, Maglin said he would be holding his own Christmas and New Year open house at Dewan Merdeka, Putra World Trade Centre, Kuala Lumpur on New Year’s Day (from 11am to 2pm).
“My open house is also to celebrate the Chinese New Year, Hari Raya and Deepavali. I am doing it in one go …I am expecting between 3,000 and 4,000 guests to turn up. All are invited,” he said.
