Pension payment and the second special payment for pensioners will be paid on Dec 16 in conjunction with Christmas, the Public Service Department said.
The department said recipients whose pensions are paid through the bank will be able to claim the payments from their banks on that day.
The special payment, totalling RM500, will be credited to the recipients’Â accounts, including for those on B Scheme, it said.
“B Scheme recipients need not fill any form to claim the payment,” the statement added.
Those receiving pensions through the pension warrant dated Dec 17 to 31 will be able to withdraw the warrant from Dec 16.
The special payment was announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak when tabling the 2012 Budget in October.
