Microsoft is currently focusing on assisting the young population in the country in their pursuit of higher education, jobs and entrepreneurship.

Microsoft Worldwide corporate citizenship head Lori Harnick said, providing training and programmes such as technology skills training or business skills training would enable the young access to additional schooling in universities, jobs or building their own businesses.

“Microsoft has offered them one of the six types of training which among them are ICT training and mangement skills,” she told reporters at Microsoft’s second annual Accelerating Asia Pacific summit yesterday.

She said Microsoft was currently delivering technology and skills to people in rural villages across the country to connect with the rest of the country, thus improving their lives.

Harnick said, through technology, skills, training and experiences, the young generation could realise the opportunities before them and secure a better future.
