Residents against MPSJ draft plans to increase plot ratio

The Majlis Perbandaran Subang Jaya has gazetted the Local Draft Plan for Subang Jaya on 27^th of May 2010 covering the types of developments allowable for the whole of Subang Jaya which includes Puchong and Seri Kembangan.

Residents from USJ 1 have called a press conference on September 8, 2012  at the office of Subang Jaya Adun, YB Hannah Yeoh and have voiced out their objections to the plan to increase the plot ratio of builidings from 1:4 to 1:6 for USJ 1 and USJ 21.

The main reason for the objection is the nightmarish daily traffic congestions at the Summit traffic lights leading into USJ 1 and increasing the plot ratio would add further to the traffic woes of the residents in USJ 1 and residents in the most parts of Subang Jaya.

The plan to increase the plot ratio also applies to PJS 9 and PJS 11 in Bandar Sunway PJS and SS 15 and SS16 in Subang Jaya.

YB Gobind Singh Deo, the Member of Parliament for Puchong (which covers half of USJ 1) was also present to hear out the objections of the residents in his consituency.
