Fatigue, unexplained weight loss, excessive thirst, excessive urination, poor wound healing, infections and blurry vision are common symptoms of diabetes.

Retail chain My Pharmacy teamed up with AccuChek to organise a health seminar by speaker Jacki Siew recently.

The interactive seminar was very informative, and participants were fully engaged throughout the whole session.

Diabetics were advised to monitor their intake of food and their glucose levels.

They were given a check-list each, to help them tabulate their glucose levels before and after every meal.

Jacki Siew talked about her personal experience with the people under her care and advised the diabetics among the participants to look out for symptoms, such as red veins in the eyes, which might rupture if not detected and treated at an early stage.
