The Road Transport Department (JPJ) will conduct a massive nationwide operation to reduce accidents involving motorcyclists and pillion riders.
Its deputy director-general, Ismail Ahmad said, state JPJs had been directed to carry out road blocks, including in rural areas, starting today to ensure motorcycle owners heeded traffic regulations.
“Offenders will be issued summonses, ” he told reporters after closing a district-level One Community One
JPJ (SKSJ) programme at Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Sentul yesterday.
Also present were Pahang JPJ director Zakaria Man and Kuala Sentul assemblyman Shahaniza Shamsuddin.
