Maxis mobile recently launched their iPhone 5 at Cap Square Mall and the response was overwhelming with only 16GB iPhone stock left available.

All the 32GB and 64GB iPhone stock were sold out in no time.

During the Maxis press conference that was held earlier joint chief operating officer Suren J Amarasekera highlighted that three years ago, Maxis was the one to bring the original iPhone to Malaysia, including the iPhone 5 through launching events such as these.

During the press conference, Maxis also released a new Cloud based storage system for the iPhone 5 called Loker with 10GB free space for all Maxis users who sign up for it.

Another attraction was the iValue 50 which allows anyone to own iPhone 5 at a monthly cost of RM50.

Through its Maxis One Club, the iPhone 5 can be purchased for as low as RM999, which is tied to iValue 2, 3 and 4 for 12 months.

This includes waiving the advance payment to attract more customers and having them pay less cash during registration.
