A man died, believed after drinking weedkiller at his rented house in Taman Bunga Sejati, Kampung Nyatoh, Rantau today.
A neighbour, Suthir Babu, 26, who returned home from work about 8am, said he heard voices of someone crying in pain from A. Soraj @ Muhammad Faizal Raj Abdullah’s house.
“I went to the house and found Soraj, 28, and a woman writhing in pain. I, with the help of another neighbour, then carried them into Soraj’s car to take them to a hospital, but the car won’t start.
“It was then that I realised Soraj was dead. I then called the police and an ambulance to send the victims to the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital,” Suthir said.
Meanwhile, the woman, aged 18, believed to be Soraj’s girlfriend, is reported in stable condition.
Seremban deputy district police chief Supt Yusof Awang, when contacted, confirmed the incident.
