The Kelantan state government today declared an additional holiday for the state on Sept 1 in conjunction with the double celebration for Hari Raya Aidilfitri and National Day.
State Secretary Dr Zainuddin Ibrahim said in a statement issued today: “The 14/2011 State Executive Council that met on July 13 had decided to declare Thursday, Sept 1 or 3rd of Syawal 1432 Hijrah as an additional holiday for the Hari Raya Puasa and National Day double celebrations for the state of Kelantan.”
Hari Raya Aidilfitri this year is expected to be on Aug 30, while the National Day is celebrated on Aug 31.
