The Terengganu government is appealing to the Health Ministry to expedite construction of the new Dungun Hospital due to over-crowding at the existing hospital.
Menteri Besar Ahmad Said said construction of the hospital had been planned under the Eighth Malaysia Plan.
“We are prepared to provide about a 20 hectare site in Kampung Che Lijah here for the project,” he told reporters after presenting hampers to patients at the Dungun Hospital yesterday.
He said implementation of the Dungun Hospital project should be expedited to enable the people to get better health and medical service.
