Recently, two teachers from Foon Yew High School, Kulai brought fourteen Form One students on a treasure hunt around the older parts of Johor Bahru city.
Besides visiting Hiap Joo Bakery, which uses firewood for their stove, the students visited the oldest temple in Johor Bahru.
Mr Mok Whui Yeng, 42, teacher and group scout master, said that the treasure hunt and the city tour is a good experience for the students.
He said they will organise more of such excursions during the school holidays.
