A media conference was held on August 23 in Johor Bahru to reintroduce #SaySomethingNice campaign, which seeks to use the seventeen day between August 31 to September 16 to showcase Malaysia in a very positive light.
The campaign which uses the hash tag #SaySomethingNice was initially launched in 2011 by Zubedy (M) Sdn Bhd.
The #SaySomethingNice Johor Bahru campaign receives a moral boost with Johor Bahru MP Shahrir bin Abdul Samad at the sidelines providing moral support.
Iskandar Region Development Authority (IRDA) and Yayasan 1Malaysia are among the organisations that supports this cause.
Managing Director of Zubedy (M) Sdn Bhd, Anas Zubedy welcomed the supporters of the campaign in Johor Bahru.
“We hope this campaign will leave a big impact to the society with the involvement of schools and relevant bodies,” said Anas.
“To achieve this, we want to reach several key ministries like Education and Tourism as well as the Department of National Unity and integration under the Prime Minister’s Department,”
“Let us encourage the engagement and passion of our Malaysian brothers and sisters to make this country a better and more harmonious one,” said Anas, who also urged all Malaysians to join this campaign for the sake of Malaysia.
“We have a dream that one day, perhaps in 10 to 15 years, the time segment will be so renowned that it will attract tourists from all over the world to visit our country and witness for themselves our unity.”
Through this campaign, Malaysians are encouraged to be creative with a medium of their preference to showcase the best of Malaysia while at the same time do good for the nation.
