There are Befrienders centers in Penang, Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur, Seremban, Malacca, Muar, Johor Bahru and Kota Kinabalu.

Every Befrienders center operates as a non-profit community service and non-governmental organization (NGO). They are multi-racial, non-religious and their services are available to everyone, from all walks of life, race, religion, age and sex.  They are mainly emotional support centers, through telephone counseling, out-reach and some centers also offer services like emailing and face-to-face counseling.
