The cooperation between the armed forces and the police in organising joint-trainings can help save the government
about RM400 million in five years, said Inspector-general of Police Ismail Omar.
He said today this was because the police did not have to provide training centres and equipment as the armed forces were fully equipped for the joint-trainings.
“The money from the saving can be used for the benefit of the people,” he told reporters after launching the Command Post Exercise at the police academy.
Also present were Armed Forces chief, General Zulkifeli Mohd Zin, Army deputy chief Lt Gen Wira Zulkifli Zainal Abidin, Air Force chief, General Rodzali Daud and the Armed Force’s Intelligence Division director-general, Lt Gen Abdul Hadi Hussin.
