The evening of glitz and glamour was attended by 300-odd guests who included celebrities, participating partners and media personnel.

“The event offer our shoppers the latest and hottest trends from the wide range of brands in fashion apparels and accessories offered by our tenants,“ said Tan Boon Leong, Berjaya Times Square manager for marketing and promotions.

“It is also to help shoppers stay one step ahead of the fashion pack all season.

“We support our tenants and we hope the fashion showcase will help them push up sales and traffic by bringing in more shoppers to the mall,” added Tan.

Hosted by TV host/emcee Soo Kui Jien, the evening included a lively fashion show and performances by violin virtuoso Dennis Lau, saxophonist Jimmy Sax and Malaysia’s No. 1 and World’s No. 9  beatboxer Shawn Lee.

The runway show showcased the latest outfits from seventeen brands catering to the bold, trendy and stylish lifestyle and suited for every occasion.

Guests were treated to collections from Bossini, CarloRino, Focus Point, Kitschen, House of Leather (HOL), Michelle, Hush Puppies, Nichii, Polo, Shizzu Boutique, SUB, South China Sea, Tropicana Life, Summit, Universal Traveller, Voir Shoez and Winter Time.

Bossini kicked off the show with its Texas Homeboy collection for men that dials the masculinity a few notches higher with layered vintage print trees, and shirts matched with comfortable denim shorts, jeans or khaki pants.

For women, the Nautical Sweet Romance collection inspires women to dress for a dream vacation in paradise in the form of bold daring stripes, and checkered or polka dot trees combined with anchor designs and indulged women today in memories of sweet romance peppered with floral prints and laces.

The models’ hairstyle was sponsored by Michael & Guys while the make-up was by Rimmel.

Guests were also served a wide variety of finger foods and beverages.

The fashion showcase is just one of the numerous activities presented by Berjaya Times Square in conjunction with the 1Malaysia Mega Sale from 15 June till 31 August.

Others include hourly fashion shows beginning from 12.00 pm till 8.30 pm over the weekends of Saturday and Sunday

Shoppers who spent a minimum of RM50 and above will be entitled to participate in a “Win Brilliant Toys by Shopping” contest by counting the total number of letters B, T and S found in the “I Love BTS” structure at the main entrance; with the main prize of a spanking new Mazda2 to the winner who counted the number of letters correctly.

The night came to a close with the presentation of main lucky draw prizes of a RM2,500 shopping voucher and a 32” LCD TV by chairman of Berjaya Times Square Joint Management Body Tan Mun Choy to two lucky guests.
