Johor World Museum Day

In conjunction with world museum day, Yayasan warisan Johor ( YWJ) is organizing the celebration in the state level, and is getting good response from 10 different museum and galleries in Johor to partipate .

The event will be on 25/6 -26/6/11, Time : 8am – 5pm , take place at the Kota Tinggi Museum. The participating museum are :

1) Johor Bahru Chinese Heritage Museum

2) Muzium Layang-Layang ( Kite Museum, Pasir Gudang )

3) Galeri seni Johor

4) Bugis Museum

5) Old Johor Museum

6) Muzium Tokoh Johor

7) UniGalrium University Technology Malaysia

8) Galeri Dato’ Onn

9) Muzium Nelayan ( Fisherman Museum )

10) Muzium Kota Tinggi

To celebarte this state level World Museum  Day, a lot of of traditional folk games such as Gasing, Congkak and Bau Berendam will be held. There will be also drawing and colouring contests for the primary and secondary students, with bicycles to be won.

There will be also an historical quiz competition, and demonstration of calligraphy, Jawi and the way to wash the Keris and how to make a kite traditionally.

The program will be officiated by State Exo, YB Puan Asiah Binti Mohd. Ariffin at 2 pm this Saturday.
