A manager of a watch shop was found dead in his house on the 8th floor of the Pandan Utama Condominium, yesterday with his hand and legs bound while his neck strangled.
Ampang Jaya Deputy OCPD Supt Md Nazri Zawawi said Ng Kim Loong, 45, was found dead in bed at 8.57am with his hands and legs bound with a curtain rope while his neck was strangled with a shirt.
“The victim, clad in a T-Shirt and short pants, was found with bruise marks on several parts of his body and face believed to be due to a struggle with the suspect.
“Ng was found by his mother who had come to her bachelor son’s house this morning to collect his clothes for washing,” he told reporters at the scene.
Nazri said his mother, in her 60’s, immediately informed the security guard at the condominium before contacting the police who arrived 15 minutes later.
“Police believe there were more than one suspect and they were known to the victim as there was no sign of forced entry when the mother went to the house,” he said, adding that the house had also been ransacked.
Nazri said the investigation currently was focused on several tenants in two other rooms in the house who had gone missing shortly after the incident.
The tenants in the other two rooms were believed to be foreigners, he added.
