All student-athletes representing Pahang at the 14th Malaysian Games will automatically be given scholarship by the Pahang Foundation, executive councillor Wan Adnan Wan Mamat said.
The scholarship offer was an incentive for them to excel in sports, he told reporters after opening the Pahang Malaysian Games contingent’s camp, here today.
He also handed over the Pahang flag to contingent head Datuk Dr Omar Othman.
The biennial games will be held at the National Sports Complex, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur between June 2-12.
Pahang will be represented by 245 athletes, of whom 70 per cent are students.
