Syarikat Prasarana Negara Berhad (Prasarana) the custodian of public transportation system for the Klang Valley is seeking feedback from members of the public over the revised proposed alignment of the Ampang (AG) Line LRT extension project.
The revised proposed alignment would be displayed to the public for comments for a period of three months; beginning tomorrow (May 27), according to a statement by Prasarana.
The display would show the amended section of the alignment between km15.2 and km17.7 and the section where the proposed new LRT depot will be located to Kg. Kuala Sungai Baru.
The remaining section of the alignment, from 0.0km to 15.2km, was approved on 4 June 2010 by the Minister of Transport, according to Section 8, Railways Act 1991.
The public display will be held at the following two locations:
i. Suruhanjaya Pengangkutan Awam Darat, 13th Floor, Menara Dayabumi, Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin
ii. Subang Jaya Municipal Council (MPSJ) Building, Persiaran Perpaduan USJ5, Subang Jaya

The LRT extension project was announced in Budget 2009 and undertaken to further improve the efficiency of public transportation in the Klang Valley. The AG Line will be extended from Sri Petaling Station to Putra Heights via Puchong while the Kelana Jaya (KJ) Line will link Kelana Jaya Station to Putra Heights via Subang Jaya.
Advance works are currently being carried out for both the KJ and AG Lines, involving relocation of telecommunication cables, TNB low voltage (underground) cables, TNB high voltage transmission lines, water mains and sewerage pipes, as well as gas pipelines.
Scheduled to be completed in 2014, about 25% of the advance works for the KJ Line Extension has been completed.
