Two men, including a 19-year-old, were charged in the Sessions Court today with the murder of a 52-year-old woman in a robbery at Bukit Kuang last month.
The teenager, Che Khairul Muuiz Che Din, 19, from Kelantan, and Mohd Suhaimi Mohd Arip, 26, from Johor, were charged with murdering Ka’ Yah Said between 3.30am and 5.35am at her house at Lorong Mengkuang I, Taman Desa Darul Iman II, Bukit Kuang, Chukai, last April 30.
However, no plea was recorded when the charge was read before judge AhmadBazli Bahruddin.
Che Khairul Muuiz and Mohd Suhaimi are charged under Section 34 of the Penal Code which carries the death sentence upon conviction. The court set July 7 for mention.
