building design workshop, beginning June 2, for players in the construction industry.

“Fraunhofer is a leading applied research organisation in Germany which has for years been developing technologies in green design,” said project director Dr Ahmad Ibrahim.

The institute has experts who deploy leading technologies in the design and construction of green buildings, including providing consultancy, for the MASDAR green city project in Abu Dhabi.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for industry players to learn about the latest development and techniques in the design of green buildings towards meeting global standards and regulations.

Germany’s internationally renowned green building design experts, Professor Dr Klaus Sedlbauer and Dr Andreas Kaufmann, will also share their knowledge on the potential opportunities the green building business offered.

Building contractors, designers, architects, planners and consultants are encouraged to participate in the workshop to be held at Technology Park Malaysia.
