The  Business Licensing Electronic Support System (BLESS), a government portal which facilitates applications for business licences in Malaysia, will be extended nationwide by June 2013.

Director-General, Implementation Coordination Unit (ICU), Prime Minister’sDepartment, Shukry Mohd Salleh said the system, which was developed by the unit and the Special Taskforce to Facilitate Business (Pemudah) in 2007,currently concentrated on applications for business licences within the Klang Valley.

BLESS facilitates company representatives to select relevant licences, fill and submit application forms online and track the progress of the application throughout the process until notification of approval or otherwise.

At the same time, BLESS provides an online communication platform for the licensing agencies to communicate directly with the company for any clarification and justification on the licence applications which effectively saves time and resources for both parties.
