Thalia & Partiban are crowned Supermodel Universe Malaysia 2019

Top two winners of Super Model Malaysia was crowned at the Grand Final of Super Model Malaysia at Royale Chulan Damansara hotel. The winner of the male category is Partiban A/L Vijayanathan, 28 from Johor Bahru while the female category was crowned to Thalia Thin, 21 from Selangor.

Partiban and Thalia will be heading to Sofia, Bulgaria to compete with other international supermodel at the Super Model Universe International this September 19 to 26, 2019. Partiban and Thalia will be receiving about RM 60,000 in prizes, comprising of cash and products, including an all-expenses paid trip to the grand finals at Sofia, Bulgaria. On top of that, the two winners will also gain invaluable international exposure and walk at Europe Fashion Week 2019.

Ammetta Malhotra, National Director of Super Model Universe Malaysia said that the winners were not only selected based on their physical appearances, judges have also taken all top 33 finalists’ discipline and personality into consideration during the judging process. The two winners have managed to portray the best represent the qualities we are looking for in a supermodel – physique, personality, catwalk and introduction style.

Malhotra added that what makes this competition truly unique is that Super Model Universe Malaysia was fully supported by local and homegrown brands, organisations and individuals, making it truly Malaysia. 

The spectacular two-hour show not only saw our very own homegrown supermodel, Amber Chia, taking the runway again, alongside with Ammetta Malhotra, Super Model Universe International 2018, Marina Kirshuk and Classic Mrs. Asia International 2018 All Nation Winner, Renee Tang, it has also featured a series of collection from our local leading designers and fashion brands. 

On top of that, the top 33 finalists were also wearing a custom designed pair of shoes from leading Malaysian shoe brand XES. Other brands and fashion designer collections which was featured during the two-hour show includes Farel Mikhail, Jonathan Kok, Qif Alvarez, Obra by Gil Concepcion, The Mod House and Bon Zainal.

A total of 14 titles have been awarded including Mr Photogenic, Miss Photogenic, Most Promising Print Model, Most Promising Model, Best Social Media, Best Smile, Best Personality, Most Confident, Best Transformation, Best spokesperson, Best Catwalk, Best Physique, Best Figure and Best Eloquence.
