#Kita1Keluarga relief program launched for the underprivileged

The Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation Malaysia has launched a charity relief program to help those impacted economically due the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The Taiwan Buddhist Tzu-Chi Foundation Malaysia has launched a charity relief program to help those impacted economically due the Covid-19 coronavirus pandemic.

The program themed “Kita1Keluarga” will target low-income families living in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor affected due to the economic consequences of the pandemic.

Although the outbreak has gradually stabilized, the Movement Control Order (MCO) introduced on March 18 has undermined economic activities putting many livelihoods at risk.

According to the latest official statistics, the country’s unemployment rate rose to its highest point this year. The number of jobless Malaysians reached a high of 826,100 in May with many families struggling to put food on the table,

The “Kita1Keluarga” Relief Program will help underprivileged families families to sustain basic living needs for a period of 3 months with cash aid of RM500 to RM800 per month.

Application is open from 12/07/2020 until 18/07/2020 and must meet the stipulated conditions.
The Tzu Chi Foundation also calls caring Malaysians to contribute and help families in dire need to pull through the crisis.
