KTMB cancels train services to the south and east coast

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) today cancelled its train services for the south and east coast sectors following floods and landslides.

The services cancelled are the Ekspres Sinaran Selatan (KL Sentral-Singapore), Ekspres Senandung Sutera (KL Sentral-Singapore) and Shuttle (Kuala Lipis-Singapore).

According to a statement from KTMB today, several train services were also rescheduled, namely the Ekspres Rakyat (Butterworth-Singapore-Butterworth), Ekspres Sinaran Selatan (Singapore-KL Sentral), Ekspres Sinaran Timuran (Singapore-Tumpat-Singapore) and Senandung Wau (KL Sentral-Tumpat).

The statement added that the Ekspres Rakyat services are now only from KL Sentral to Butterworth, while Ekspres Sinaran Selatan is only from Singapore to Kluang.

The Ekspres Timuran provides services from Singapore to Kluang and Tumpat to Triang only, while for the Ekspres Senandung Wau, passengers will board the bus from KL Sentral to Mentakab before continuing the journey by train to Tumpat.

The statement added that passengers affected by the cancellations can change their date of journey or get a refund from KTMB.
