The tertiary hospital recognized locally and internationally for 35 years also picked up two specialty awards, as Nephrology and Oncology (Surgical) Service Provider of the Year in Asia Pacific.

“We will remain committed to pushing the envelope through exemplary patient care, innovation and diagnostic expertise,” she said.
In its fifth year, the awards, hosted by the Global Health and Travel, aims to recognise medical and related facilities for their excellence in healthcare and patient care across Asia Pacific.
Winners are selected by consumer survey, deliberation among a panel of industry healthcare experts in the region, market research reports, and based on Global Health Asia Pacific’s own healthcare knowledge.
The awards also serves as a benchmark for healthcare providers to maintain high industry standards.
In a year where healthcare providers faced extraordinary challenges due to the Covid 19 coronavirus pandemic, the awards gave recognition to Ministry of Health, Malaysia for their achievement in containing the pandemic in Malaysia.
The Ministry of Health, Malaysia received the Stellar Covid-19 Achievement of the Year Award while Health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah was awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award.
