Angkasa-X, a prominent technological-social inclusion company, has announced its plans to launch the A-SEANSAT-PG1 (PG1) satellite on June 27.

Angkasa-X spearheads satellite launch and LEO constellations
The much-anticipated launch of the PG1 satellite is scheduled for June 27 at 7:30 PM Malaysian time from the Vostochny Cosmodrome in Russia.
The event will be broadcast live at three locations in Malaysia, including the offices of the Malaysian Space Agency, the Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Bhd, and Universiti Sains Malaysia.
This launch signifies Angkasa-X’s ambition to establish constellations of LEO satellites that will be designed and assembled within Malaysia, driving the growth of the space tech industry in the region.
The Penang government has expressed its excitement and support for Angkasa-X’s upcoming satellite launch.
Chief Minister Chow Kon Yeow praised the collaboration between Angkasa-X and the state government, which has laid the foundation for the realization of this significant achievement.

Angkasa-X has partnered with Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) to establish the Angkasa-X Earth Station and Space Technology Centre at the USM Engineering Campus.
The groundbreaking ceremony for this facility took place recently, and it is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
This state-of-the-art centre will serve as a hub for research and development, as well as the assembly, integration, and testing of LEO satellites, forming the backbone of the Angkasa-X A-SEANSAT LEO satellite constellations.
