The eagerly anticipated reopening of the Gunung Ledang waterfall in the Gunung Ledang Johor National Park (Lagenda) is scheduled for next month, following a year-long closure for essential upgrade works.

During the closure, extensive improvements were made to the Gunung Ledang waterfall and its surroundings.

Johor Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz expressed optimism, stating that the reopening of Gunung Ledang waterfall will once again attract visitors to the state. He added the state government will actively promote this tourist spot to ensure its popularity.

He added the Gunung Ledang waterfall management will also set up an electric vehicle charging station, a caravan site. These upgrades aim to provide visitors with more convenience and comfort while enjoying the natural wonders of the area.

“I also visited the Gunung Ledang Johor National Park (Lagenda) facilities. I have looked into the need to improve the chalets and huts to attract more visitors to this national park,” he said in a Facebook post.

Therefore, he added, the state government will hold a meeting with the Tourism, Arts and Culture Ministry to obtain requirements and budget for upgrading works of the tourist attraction.
