Rockwills drives generosity with major food collection

Rockwills recently led a successful food collection drive, demonstrating its commitment to giving back to the community.

The initiative, which received overwhelming support, collected over 1,000 essential items, including 800kg of rice, to benefit approximately 65 children from two centres that care for children with developmental challenges.

The recipients of the supplies include Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Ekliptik Klang and Persatuan Kebajikan OKU Hati Berganda, Selangor.

Rockwills’ commitment to community

The Rockwills Food Collection Drive showcased the generosity of both the public and Rockwills’ dedicated team of estate planners and staff.

Led by Tan Mei Yin, CEO of Rockwills Corporation Sdn Bhd, the initiative aimed to provide much-needed support to these homes.

“We are most grateful that our teams of estate planners have been highly supportive,” Tan Mei Yin said.

“We hope our donation will help these centres offset a portion of their monthly food and personal item costs during these challenging times.”

The collected items were handed over by Sam Chan, Assistant General Manager of Rockwills Corporation, and Jason Tham, Senior General Manager of Rockwills Business Services.

They were received by Gunasekaran A/Maran and Ngoh Kok Meng of Pusat Jagaan Kanak-Kanak Ekliptik Klang, and Steven Wong of Persatuan Kebajikan OKU Hati Berganda, Selangor.

Essential items for a better tomorrow

Among the food items donated were rice, Milo, milk powder, cooking oil, and instant noodles, which are essential to daily nutrition for the children at the centres.

In addition to food, non-food essentials like Tiger Balm, VapoRub, toothpaste, and detergent were also contributed, further supporting the children’s well-being.

This act of kindness from Rockwills not only helps to ease the financial burden on these homes but also exemplifies the spirit of community support and care that the company is known for.
